Fall 2010 "trend forecast"

Decked out shoulders. Honestly I didn't think that it would carry on into the next season, but hooray for all of you who dished out the cash for that fancy shoulder padded t shirt. I highly suggest thumbing through a few thrift shops and decking out your own padded t shirt. Stud it, fringe it, rip it.

Glitter and glitter.
Why? I don't know, but glitter is going to be big this fall. It could be many of the top "hip" designer disco revival kick, or it could be that everyone just wants to glam up in winter. Either way, you won't see me running around with anything shiny. On to the next ...

CLOGS. I'm actually pretty excited about this. Clunky, cloggy, chunky, woody, leathery goodness. You can clog around in light printed floral skirts with thick woolly tights, skinny jeans and a high shouldered leather jacket, or a cotton dress and lots of chunky jewels. Clogs are in, and they're comfy too. Clog boots, anyone?

Leather and animal print is in for life, so go and get some good pieces.

Basics. They are the most
important thing in your wardrobe. If you don't have good basics, you're style looks cheap and not well put together. With good quality basics, you can pull off cheap eccentric pieces. Basics include (but are not limited to) v necks, leggings, blazers, high waisted skirts, skinny jeans, cardigans, long skirts, cotton tanks, t shirts and so on. These are things you wear everyday, drop a couple extra bucks on them.

Menswear. Boyfriend jeans, boyfriend blazer, boyfriend leather jacket, boyfriend t shirt.
